The India Day Celebration is UNICA's flagship event, designed to be inclusive, family-friendly, and non-religious, bringing together thousands of attendees to celebrate Indian culture in its grandest form.
State-aligned associations and volunteers march in traditional attire, performing folk dances, music, and street performances. The parade represents the diversity of India while highlighting the unity of the Indian community in BC.
After the parade, each association presents cultural performances on the main stage, including dance, music, and theatrical showcases representing different regions of India.
Associations host interactive stalls offering traditional foods, crafts, and cultural demonstrations, providing attendees with hands-on experiences of India's diverse heritage.
The event includes workshops, family activities, and competitions, encouraging attendees of all ages to learn, engage, and celebrate Indian culture together.
